Meet the Essential Areas Team

Essential Areas Team Philosophy:
 We will educate the whole child by providing a diverse, culturally rich and rigorous environment in which students will learn about the arts, wellness and themselves.
 
Essential Areas Team Grading Policies:
PE: 
Criteria set by the district associated with curriculum guidelines.
Parents have access to their child's Fitnessgram scores via the AISD Parent Cloud. This is an assessment of their aerobic capacity, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and body composition.

Art/Music:
K-2nd: 1/2 is Below Grade Level, 3 is at Grade Level, 4 is above Grade Level
3rd-5th: 100 point scale based on Individual Rubrics per assignment/unit

Art, Music & PE are on a 3-day "ABC" rotation.
Students attend one special area class every school day.

Please help ensure your child's success in PE by dressing them in tennis shoes.
