Hello, my name is Angelica Aguilar and I am proud to be a part of the Blazier Bluejay community! I was born and raised right here in Austin and have lived in South Austin for most of my life. I am currently married to a fellow educator and together we have 3 beautiful daughters and 1 cranky Shih -Tzu. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'Em!), a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Literacy from The University of Texas at Arlington and I am currently earning a National Board Certification in Early Childhood Education.

I’m Katie Schulze, an ESL Kindergarten teacher. I am originally from Houston, Texas and moved to the area for college. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I love being outdoors and spending time with the people in my life!

Viva Garza
Viva Garza was raised in San Antonio, TX and moved to Austin prior to graduating from McNeil High School. She spent the last few years working at The University of Texas at Austin where she was an administrative aficionado who specialized in organization. At UT, she served in Toastmasters International and with UT Staff Council to affect change on campus. Her passions include literacy and community service. She believes every child should have equal access to a great education.
Viva earned her bachelor's degree in educational leadership from Southeastern University. She taught at charter schools from 2012-2018. Her experience in education served as a reminder that her calling to be a teacher always remained. She joined Blazier Elementary in the Fall of 2024. “Kindergarteners are like sponges” says Garza. “They can absorb so much at this age”
On weekends, you can find Viva walking her labrador retriever, Mitch. She also enjoys museums and live music!

Veronica Rivera
I am Veronica Rivera. I am originally from El Salvador and moved to Austin 20 years ago. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in bilingual Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics. I live with my husband and my daughter, who is a first grader at Blazier elementary. I love spending time with my family, traveling to new places and reading new books. My family and I we always do a trip together over summer to a new place we have never been before.
My nombre es Veronica Rivera. Naci en El Salvador y me mude a vivir a Austin hace 20 anos atras. Me gradue de la universidad de Texas en Austin. Complete tres carreras una en educacion bilingue, otra en psicologia y la otra en lisguistica. Vivo con mi esposo e hija, quien es una estudiante de primer grado en la escuela Blazier. Me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia, viajar a lugares nuevos y leer libros. Mi familia y yo siempre planeamos un viaje juntos en verano a un lugar donde nunca hemos ido antes.

Giselle Chavez
Hello! My name is Giselle Chavez and I am a kindergarten teacher here at Blazier. This is my second-year teaching kindergarten. I am originally from Waco, Texas and moved to Austin about 3 years ago. I graduated from Sam Houston State University. I enjoy the outdoors, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Sanaa Henson
Hi! My name is Ms. Henson. In May 2023, I graduated from University of Texas at Austin. This is my second year teaching at Blazier. During my first year, I was awarded Teacher of Promise for the 2023-2024 school year. I am also a volleyball coach at Ann Richards and Roots Volleyball Club. I enjoy building relationships, making learning fun for others and supporting all students.
