My name is Daniella Rettig, I'm from Monterrey Mx, and happily married. I'm 28 years old and I hold a bachelor degree in bilingual education, I came to Austin 2 years ago and really remind me home. During the weekends I enjoy to discover new coffee shops and trying new restaurants with my husband, we don't have any pets yet but we are looking to have a golden retriever pretty soon. Coffee and Fall are my best combo. I also enjoy going to watch Austin FC with friends or playing board games.

Hello! My name is Ms. Gutierrez and I’m proud to be a part of the 2nd grade team. This is my third year in 2nd grade and my fifth year with Austin ISD. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX but have lived in central Texas since 2013. I currently live here in south Austin with my family and my dog, Dos xx. I graduated from Texas State University with a major in Spanish and a minor in Physical Education. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Bilingual Education at Texas A&M International University. I am excited to continue to work with the Blazier community and help educate the bilingual, biliterate and bicultural leaders of tomorrow.

Meredith Miles
Hi! My name is Meredith Miles, and I am so proud to be on the fantastic second grade team as a Blazier Blue Jay. I am excited to be going into my seventh year teaching. I taught four years in first grade, and this will be my third year in second grade. I am from Atlanta, Georgia, and I moved out to Texas five years ago now. I went to the University of Georgia where I double majored in Spanish and Early Childhood Education with an ESL Endorsement. GO DAWGS!
I then earned my Master of Education from Southern Methodist University through the Early Literacy and Language Acquisition track, focusing on PreK-2nd grade. I also earned my Reading Specialist after completing my Master of Education. I am passionate about creating lifelong learners who love reading.

Hello! My name is Ms. Natal, and I am a proud member of the 2nd grade team! I am from Lockhart, Tx, better known as the Barbecue Capital! However, I am currently living in the outskirts of South Austin. I am also a proud graduate from The University Texas at Austin, Hook Em’ Horns! I received my undergraduate degree in Applied Learning and Development in the Spring of 2024, and I am currently back at UT Austin pursuing a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. My name is Ms. Bettis and we are going to have the most amazing year! I am originally from Elkhart, Indiana. I moved to Dallas, Texas 7 years ago and then have been in Austin for 3 years. This will be my 7th year teaching and my 3rd year in AISD. I am a huge foodie and love trying all the yummy cuisine ATX has to offer. I grew up in Austin, Texas and love everything about it here. I graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor's in Elementary Education ESL. I’m a lover of being active and anything fashionable. I practice a positive relationship with mental health by meditating, staying creative, and being around friends and family. I have always wanted to be a teacher and work with children to reach new heights. Three words I would use to describe myself as a teacher would be determined, passionate, and caring.
